Halloween Fun

Halloween is a great time of year. It's a time to have fun, make crafts, get dressed up and eat sweets! My Halloween style is more fun spooky rather than gory. I'm not sure whats happened over time but many decor for Halloween has sure gone a bit too dark for me. I did pick up a great magazine by Better Homes and Gardens that has fantastic ideas for Halloween like using black buttons to make the word 'BOO' glued on your pumpkin with a bow tied on the stem. How easy would that be to grab your Stampin' Up! Designer Buttons, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and glue gun and poof your done!

Here's a card that I created for this spooky holiday. I have to say I love this card! It has a sort of vintage Halloween appeal. I've used all Stampin' Up! materials to create it. The background image is heat embossed with Wild Wasabi Stampin' Emboss Powder.

The picture doesn't do it the best justice but I hope you enjoy it and of course contact me with any questions.

These cookie stamps are a great way to add something extra to your shortbread or other types of cookies. Why just make plain circles when you can add some fun. This stamp made me think of when I was a little girl and made cookies with my mom. We'd press them with a fork and this is a very fun replacement/alternative to the fork that I'll have memories doing with my kids. Its something I'm hoping my 2 year old son can do with me now. He'll love it. They're also great to use for gifts or parties. I hope to have some made up for the kids on Halloween if I can bake them in time.:)

Everyone I know who has used them loves them though so I can't wait and honestly can't believe I haven't already.
